Dr. Caren Bennett has had specialty training in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of many medical conditions such as:

  • Colon cancer and colon polyps;
  • Heartburn, acid reflux, and ulcers;
  • Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis;
  • Hepatitis and other liver diseases;
  • Gallstones, bile duct disease, and pancreatitis;
  • Hemorrhoids and rectal bleeding;
  • Nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain;
  • Diarrhea, constipation, and other changes in bowel habits;
  • Swallowing difficulty and regurgitation;
  • Nutritional and weight loss counseling.

Procedures Performed for Diagnosis and Treatment

Colonoscopy: to detect and remove colon cancer
Upper Endoscopy: to diagnose ulcers, acid reflux, celiac disease, etc.;
Liver Biopsy: to diagnose liver diseases
Capsule Enteroscopy (PillCam): to diagnose bleeding of small intestins and Crohn's disease;
Remicade Infusions: to treat of Crohn's disease;
Esophageal Manometry and pH testing: to diagnose acid reflux related disorders and unexplained chest pain;
Hepatitis C treatment: for ongoing treatment and monitoring of hepatitis C.

Your Office Consultation

Initial consultation and follow-up visits are provided in our office. We will review previous records. After completing this evaluation, Dr. Bennett will discuss her recommendations with you. We want you to ask questions at any time regarding your tests, treatment or any other aspects of your care. Your referring primary physician will receive a report of our findings and suggested treatment plan.

Our Staff

Our staff has been trained in reception, triage, medical records, insurance, scheduling, and medical office administration. Dr. Bennett and her staff work as a team to insure excellent and compassionate care to every one of her patients.


Our insurance department will file all of your claims. Our insurance staff has been trained to file and follow up on your insurance coverage.

Telephone Calls and Prescriptions

No matter how busy Dr. Bennett is, all telephone calls will be returned, usually at the end of the day. The receptionist or medical assistant will give Dr. Bennett your message and will often return phone calls with her instructions. Test results and procedure results are called to our patients as soon as they become available.

A request for a prescription refill can be called to your pharmacy or to us during office hours. Please provide us with complete information.


After office hours and on weekends, the doctor is available for emergencies only. You may call the office and have the doctor paged. If the situation is severe, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
